Jimmy Bowskill has been amazing audiences since his days as a pre-teen blues "wunderkind" who emerged from Peterborough, Ontario and proceeded to amaze audiences all over North America and Europe.
A year after first picking up the guitar his professional career got a kick-start when the late, great Jeff Healy emerged from his Toronto club to discover Bowskill busking on the street.  Healey invited him into the club to jam and before long the 11-year old had recorded his  first CD, Old Soul, a mix of covers and originals that earned him international attention.
Now at the ripe old age of 20, Bowskill can already look back on what many would be happy to call a full career.  He has opened for Dickey Betts, Garth Hudson, ZZ Top, Deep Purple and The Sam Roberts Band. He has toured internationally including shows in Germany, Ukraine, France, Mexico and at the World Expo in Japan in 2005. He has also received a Juno Award nomination for Best Blues Album. Last year's release "Jimmy Bowskill: Live", recorded in Germany, has received this sort of review:

"Jimmy Bowskill is one of brightest shining stars for people who love REAL rock and blues music."
-Jeb Wright, Classic Rock Revisited

Bowskill's influences range from Son House to Jeff Healey to ZZ Top, and his performances promise the same wide-ranging mix of delta soul and blues/rock fire.
