A hard driving band made up of some of the best musicians on the Island, the West End Blues Band has found a loyal blues audience in Summerside.  They're joining forces with the Hupman Brothers for a power-packed Blues Bash at The Shipyard on the Summerside waterfront-Wednesday, August 17, 8pm.
The band describes itself as "a bunch of local working musicians getting together for a local regular gig".  With that in mind, the band started meeting on a regular basis last summer at "The Wing" to try and spark up a blues night in Summerside.  The effort met with great success and "Blues Night at The Wing" is now in its second season.  According to bandleader Troy MacArthur, "The experience of all the boys brings a unique mix off all blues styles from Country to texas and chicago blues. Their countless hours of stage experience promises to keep you coming back for more."
Band members are: James Phillips (guitar/vocals). Owen Hann (bass/vocals), Reg Ballagh (drums) and Troy Mcarthur (guitar/harp/vocals).
