St. Paul's Anglican Church
Ian Sherwood & Coco Love Alcorn are multi-instrumental singer-songwriters who will magnify their fresh tunes with trumpet/saxophone/guitar chops and improvised digital looping backgrounds to fill St. Paul's Anglican Church with great music.
Ian Sherwood has twice been named Music Nova Scotia “Musician of the Year. A 2011 ECMA nominee for “Male Solo Artist”, he was recently named "Best Male Artist" at the 8th annual International Music Awards. Ian mixes catchy melodies and engaging stories with intricate guitar loops, saxophone improvisation and pop/rock/jazz grooves to create music that takes the traditional singer/songwriter style to a brand new level. Ian is equally at home in front of a large festival audience or a quiet house concert. This spring Ian toured PEI schools for our "Jazz and Blues School Tour". His winning personality and amazing musicianship won standing ovations at every performance.
Coco Love Alcorn has been the recipient of multiple ECMA, Music Nova Scotia and West Coast Music award nominations and has toured or recorded with 54.40, Ani DiFranco, Burton Cummings, Chantal Kreviazuk, Jesse Cooke & Loudon Wainwright III. Her music is a sparkling alloy of jazz, soul and contemporary folk melded seamlessly into her own distinctive sound. Coco Love’s latest release "Sugar" won her this praise from the Ottawa Xpress, "A bright burst of colour amidst the many shades of indie grey."
