Late Night at Fishbones

Straight ahead, high energy electric blues, with a little rock and roll thrown in.. that's how "Plain Dirty Blues Band describes their approach to their music.  Last year the band was nominated for the Music PEI Awards Blues Recording of the Year.  The band's repertoire ranges from  blues classics by the likes of Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters to the more recent sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy and Clapton to name a few. There are a few original tunes thrown in for good measure.  But the emphasis is definitely on tradition, with sets including well-know blues workhorses like Black Cat Bone, Mojo Working and Mean town Blues.
Plain Dirty Blues Band, Jason Furness (bass), Simon Moore (kit) and Doug Burton (guitar and vocals), will be holding down the fort for Late Night at Fishbones (10:45pm) on the Monday night of Festival week.
